Business Description:
We offer beautiful and unusual books & ephemera from our website, multiple other online venues, local shows, catalogs, and in our Portland shop. Our specialties include beautiful bindings, books by, for and about women, cookery, domestica & etiquette, illustrated books, children's books, vintage how-to, literature, early twentieth century ephemera, and the odd & unusual. We love Victorian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco books and paper, Edwardian women and flapper girls, weird instructional pamphlets, Modern Library, weird and wonderful children's books, and so much more.
We are open Thursday through Saturday from 11 am-5 pm, and otherwise by chance or by appointment. We also host an annual sale, and occasional open house events. Please come by the Crooked House for a browse.
